Australian Muslims : No Room for Racism and Extremism in Australia

Australians from Different cultures gathered @ Paul Keating Park, Bankstown for 2 consecutive days celebrating Eidul Fitr and to say

         NO TO RACISM AND EXTREMISM IN AUSTRALIA

Under the patronage of Darulfatwa ( Islamic High Council of Australia ), many Muslim Organisations came together and held a very crowded and successful  festival ( Eidul-Fitr )  to mark the end of Ramadan on Sunday and Saturday 16 & 17 July 2016 at Paul Keating Park, Bankstown.

The festival was attended by politicians and many different community leaders .

A powerful message was delivered by Sheikh Ibrahim El-Shafie, deputy of Darulfatwa Australia, in condemning the extremists and their ideologies :

It is indeed a joyous occasion the occasion of the celebrating of Eidul-fitr where the Muslim community come together celebrating the happiness of completing one full month in acts of obedience . Ramadan is a month of patience and compassion where we sympathise and feel with what others are feeling from those around the world who are disadvantaged and are in need.  

So,  it is a time to reflect upon these matters when one is performing this act of worship he learns many many lessons from it one of which is to sympathise with those who are disadvantaged , these are the teachings of Islam.

And the Prophet peace be upon him said in the Hadeeth  ( that one will not have all the characteristics of the righteous Muslims unless he likes for others that which he likes for himself ) , and to like for people what you like for yourself , is to think about what would hurt you would hurt them,  what benefits you would benefit them, and from this we need to draw clear lines to differentiate between what's happening these days and the proper teaching of Islam, Islam is a religion of peace, tranquillity, moderation, and these are outlined in the Qur'an,  clearly, everyone who is knowledgeable , everyone who had learned about religion have come passed, across these verses of the Qur'an that talk about moderation and peaceful life.

Indeed, it is a critical time for all of us, for the whole world , what's been happening is not something  easy and simple,   we have witnessed lately barbaric bombings from Brussels in Belgium Airport then the same acts in Turkish Airport as well,  this is to show that the one who is bombing in that airport or in this airport , is not differentiating between an Islamic Country or non Islamic Country , that means those people who committing these acts are enemies of humanity, are enemies of all, those who are refusing the existence of other people , they are not acknowledging others , and they want to cause these seditions and tribulations on earth against humanity and the peaceful life ,and the harmonious life of people.

Then we were shocked again, towards the end of Ramadan , just by one day, when these hands of horrific terrorism reached one of the holiest cities of Islam , Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Just  300 meters away from Prophet Muhammad's Mosque, this is to show you that THOSE PEOPLE AND THEIR ACTS  CAN NOT BE LABELED IN ANY WAY AS ISLAMIC.

It is about time that the whole world will stand together,  all of them, Muslims and non Muslims, the governments of Arab countries and governments of Western countries , they should come together to face this disease, that has become wide spread east and west , and it's using the name of Islam to hide behind it , which Islam definitely does not accept in any way.

It is about time we stand together to say to those people not in the name of Islam. You cannot deceive the masses of people around the world and unfortunately they brainwashed the minds of many youth and they recruited them for these horrific and barbaric acts, but the masses of Muslims around the world they are aware of these people, they know in fact they are devils hiding behind the masks , that they wrote on them Islam or Muslim.

Here I would like to emphasize the importance of the Politicians using the proper terminologies when addressing such issues, let us say this is a terrorist act, that we have to face, that we have to be aware of , that we should put our hands together to eliminate these factors from our communities.

Australia is a multicultural country and we live together in peace and harmony , there is no room in the Australian values for Racism or Extremism, racism nurtures on extremism and vice versa, that's why you find more extremism on the other side you find more racism and vice versa.

In Australia there is no room for racism or extremism, we are all Australians , this is our common factor, we face all these devilish acts and ideas and we should always be like this as one body and role model country for all other countries around the world.

What happened in Nice, France recently, many people maybe un aware of the fact that Muslims were there, Arabs were there in that place, and the one who killed children, women and elderly in this attack does not differentiate between Muslims and non Muslims, Arabs and non Arabs in this barbaric act that's what he did. Muslims were killed, Woman with veil ( The Hijab ) were killed in that attack , this is against the life of all French people they've been working together to preserve because all of them whether from Muslim background or non Muslim background they are covered with the sky and the flag of France.

There is no room for these acts in our communities. We truly offer our condolences to the families and friends and relatives of all those who passed away in these attacks recently in different parts of the world , asking Allah - Subhanahu wa ta^ala - ( the Almighty ) that this occasion of Eid will come back and with peace and tranquility have been spread all over the world and people are enjoying a peaceful life.
